Medicare Advantage (also known as Part C) is a type of health insurance plan offered by private companies approved by Medicare, providing an alternative to Original Medicare (Parts A and B). These plans combine Part A, Part B, and often include prescription drug coverage (Part D). They often offer additional benefits not found in Original Medicare, such as vision, hearing, and dental coverage.
